Recruiting guidance from the other side of the table
Vereda is the Portuguese word for a path: the route you take toward somewhere that matters. We help soccer players find theirs.
Helping soccer players find the right fit and build a pathway toward their future.
Vereda Sports Group exists to help prospective student-athletes identify and pursue opportunities that align with their athletic ability, academic goals, and long-term ambitions.
Through honest evaluation, individualized guidance, and trusted relationships across the soccer landscape, we connect players and families with meaningful opportunities in college soccer and beyond.
We are committed to providing clarity throughout the recruiting process, advocating for the athlete's best interests, and helping each player find the right path for their future.
Tiago Capela
College soccer recruiting is not just about finding a school that wants a player. It is about understanding where that player fits, what a college program needs, and whether the opportunity makes sense for the athlete's future.
As a former Division I recruiting coordinator and college soccer coach, Tiago Capela has experienced the recruiting process from the other side of the table.
His experience includes player evaluation, recruiting, roster construction, NCAA compliance, scouting, player development, and college program operations.
Through Vereda Sports Group, Tiago brings that perspective directly to players and families, providing honest evaluations, individualized guidance, and a clearer understanding of the college soccer landscape.
"The goal is simple: help each athlete pursue the right opportunity, not just any opportunity."
Background and credentials
Vereda Sports Group is independent. No university, conference, or governing body endorses or is involved with Vereda.
What families can expect from us
Selectivity
We work with a limited number of athletes so each one gets meaningful attention. Sometimes that means telling a family we're not the right fit.
Transparency
You'll know what we're doing, why we recommend it, and what we can and can't control. We never promise offers, scholarships, roster spots, or playing time.
The athlete's interests first
Our advice is built around the player's ability, academics, and goals, not around a division, a ranking, or a school's name.
Long-term relationships
A recruiting decision shapes years of a young person's life. We take that seriously and stay focused on what happens after the commitment, too.
